Editorial policy
Wee Switch publishes tariff comparisons and Northern Ireland electricity guides for household users.
Source hierarchy
Tariff figures should be checked against Consumer Council NI first. Supplier pages may be used to verify tariff details, incentives, eligibility, and changes where needed. Historic or unavailable tariffs should not be presented as current switch options.
Review standard
- Northern Ireland relevance.
- Current supplier status.
- Current source date.
- Unit-rate and standing-charge accuracy.
- Payment-method accuracy.
- Incentive wording and eligibility caveats.
- Electric Ireland residential status.
- Power NI scheduled or effective tariff changes.
Blog and guide review cadence
Tariff-sensitive blog posts should show a "Last reviewed" date and should be reviewed after major supplier changes, Consumer Council NI tariff-table updates, and major market events. Evergreen energy-saving articles should be reviewed at least every 12 months.
Corrections
If a tariff-data issue is reported, Wee Switch should check the report against Consumer Council NI, supplier pages, or another primary source. Confirmed errors should be corrected, validated, rebuilt, and redeployed. Material corrections should update the "Last reviewed" date on the affected page.
Historical content
Older content that mentions Electric Ireland as an active residential supplier should be updated or clearly labelled as historical.
